We believe in the integrity of consumer feedback, and take it very seriously. Any attempt to manipulate our feedback content or features – such as contributing misleading, inauthentic, or false content – is strictly prohibited.
If you violate our Guidelines, we may restrict your ability to use the website, remove your content, de-list your related products, suspend your account, or terminate your account. Be aware that your misconduct may also violate state or federal laws, including the Federal Trade Commission Act, and can lead to legal action, as well as civil or criminal penalties.
If you suspect content manipulation is taking place or that our Guidelines are being manipulated in any way, we encourage you to notify us immediately. We’ll investigate thoroughly and take any appropriate action required.
Our Community Guidelines
Be Helpful and Relevant
Our Community is designed to provide helpful, relevant content to customers – which includes you! If you submit content, it should be based on your own honest opinions and experience, and relevant to the topic at hand. Submit content related to the antivirus topic only. If you are submitting a Customer Review, it should be about the product and your experience with the company.
We want our community to be a place of safety and respect. To that end, we have a few ground rules: Don’t post content that is libelous, defamatory, harassing, threatening, or inflammatory. Don’t post content that invades the privacy of other users. For example, do not post other people’s phone numbers, mailing addresses, email addresses, or other personal information. Absolutely do not post links to phishing or other malware sites. Don’t impersonate other people or organizations, or pretend to be someone or something that you’re not. Don’t attempt to drown out another user’s opinion. For example, do not post from multiple accounts or coordinate with other users to drown out an opinion you disagree with. Don’t call people names or attack them because you don’t agree with them. If you follow these simple guidelines, you’ll help keep our Community a pleasant, helpful, and respectful place for people to learn about the best way to protect their computer or mobile device from harm. We want people to be safe, not struggling!
Promotions and Commercial Solicitations
In order to preserve the integrity of our Community content, we do not allow content or activities that consist of promotion, advertising, or solicitation, whether direct or indirect. This includes: Posting, creating, or modifying content regarding your – or your relative’s, friend’s, business associate’s, or employer’s – products or services. Posting, creating, or modifying content regarding your competitors’ products or services. Posting, creating, or modifying content in exchange for compensation of any kind – including free or discounted products – or on behalf of anyone else. Offering or requesting compensation, including free or discounted products, in exchange for posting, creating, or modifying content. Posting any advertisements or solicitations, including URLs with referral tags or affiliate codes.
Do not post content that infringes upon the intellectual property or other proprietary rights of others. Do not interact with other members of the Community in a way that would infringe upon their intellectual property or proprietary rights. Only post your own content or content that you have permission to use.
Don’t post any content which encourages or supports illegal behavior, including violence, fraud, illegal drug use, underage drinking, child abuse, or animal abuse. Some examples of prohibited content include: Content which advocates or threatens other people with physical or financial harm. This includes terrorism. Content which offers fraudulent goods, services, schemes, or promotions – e.g. pyramid schemes or make-money-fast schemes.
If your review is removed or rejected because it does not comply with our Guidelines, you may not re-submit a review on the same product – even if your re-submitted review includes different content. If you and another customer live in the same household, you may not post multiple reviews of the same product. If we find that there is an unusually large number of reviews posted for a product in a short period of time, we may restrict the number of reviews on that product.
